Swiss Dreams

I’ve wanted to visit Switzerland for as long as I can remember, and although I didn’t get to visit Zurich this time, I was lucky to have been based in Geneva and to have also visited Lausanne, Montreux and Chateau de Chillon on a small group bus tour! Switzerland is simply gorgeous. The first day we were there it was sunny and bright but unfortunately the weather got much wetter and duller as the days went on. This meant that we could hardly see any Alps, which was a bit disappointing. Nonetheless, we did see some beautiful landscape views from Sion, where we were visiting one of our dear relatives.

If you’re in Geneva, I highly recommend a visit to Carouge, only a short bus/tram ride away. The vibe of the place is Italian while the language is still predominantly French. Also, Lake Geneva on a warm Sunday afternoon is pure bliss!
